Hey! So, this is my first article that I’m writing on this platform and it excites me. I have to say that english is not my first language, so excuse me if I have some mistakes further on.

I’m Russian living in the capital of Mexico, Mexico City aka CMDX. I’ve been here for 15 years and basically seen how this city changes and becomes every time more and more developed and full of tourists. It’s not like in the movies: full of cactus, sombreros and people drinking tequila lol It’s a huge city with tall buildings, pretty architecture, big avenues, great food and of course full of people from all over the world.

With that said, let me tell you some of the things that I like and dislike about Mexico City.

My first impression when I arrived was “wow this people are nice and kind.” Something that I like about Mexicans is that they accustom to salute you and ask how you are. In Russia people don’t care about you if they don’t know you, and here even if you are a stranger, people will be nice and probably would want to get in the conversation with you. It’s really interesting for them to know about you, your country, your language, your food, your culture.
